Music notes are symbols used to represent the pitch and duration of a sound in music. They are written on a musical staff, which consists of five lines and four spaces. The placement of the note on the staff indicates the pitch, while the shape and style of the note indicate its duration. Notes can be combined to create melodies and harmonies, forming the basis of musical compositions. **
